My HERO!! Ima use this next month for sure. Also,
@ redstar
where did you find had the majority of your replacement bulbs? I replaced my a/c controls and they work, then I replaced my rear defroster, and rear window controls and it shorts out my tail fuse...tried putting stock back in and they work, anytime I put LEDs in it shorts my tail fuse. You run into this issue?

Here's my write-up for an 01 LED dash swap. Has direct links to the bulbs I used, pictures of how to remove everything, bulb differences, and a bulb chart.

@ nor_cal51501
I got them all from superbrightleds.
@ MStudt
Dude nice work! I replaced all mine in the cold and dark so I really didnt have the patience to take the pictures :S. I literally got all the same bulbs that you did. Im not very happy with how the gauges turned out though. Gonna replace them with the 3 SMD #74 bulbs if they'll fit in the same place...

Does this only apply to LEDs, or does it apply for the standard bulbs as well? I got some regular #74 bulbs for my glove box, AT shifter, and ash tray, but the bulb seemed to be just a little too big and wouldn't work. If I check the Autozone or O'Reilly's website for the glove box or AT shifter, it comes back with 2721. I have a '99 Limited so it's possible some of the model years were a little different, but I doubt it.

Sylvania has a lamp replacement guide here: https://www.sylvania.com/en-us/appli...s/lrgmain.aspx
It's not as in-depth as what the OP put up, but has a lot of them. It shows the 2721 for the glove box as well. superbrightleds has a cross reference chart you can use: LED Car Bulb Cross Reference | Super Bright LEDs

So, yeah, Sylvania says the glove box bulb is a 2721. The same size bulb also goes into the shifter and ash tray. On the LED Cross Reference list, it says an LED 74 replaces a 74, 2721, etc. So a regular 74, I think, is slightly larger than a regular 2721, but in the LED world, the LED 74 works for all of those conditions. So I think it would be helpful if, in addition to the list provided by the OP, we also try to come up with a list for standard (non-LED) bulbs. It might also be helpful to refer to LED bulbs, as "LED 74", etc just to distinguish the LED size from the regular bulb size.

@ vm_boy
every single one of the bulbs was a tight fit. Try taking some pliers and compressing the contacts a tiny bit. And from what I gathered, most bulbs were the same across different model years for the 3rd gens.
