supercharger nose cone cracks.
I have a 99 limited 3.4l that I just recently put a (grey) supercharger on. I was under the hood the other day and noticed I have a little oil leak on the back side of the pulley and bottom side of the nose cone. I also noticed that it has a few cracks on the front of the nose cone. I called a shop in California that I guess from what my buddy told me was recommended by magnison. He said he would have to weld the cracks then go through the sc. So my question is do I have to weld the cracks on the nose cone? Or can I pick up a new nose cone? Or is it just sol? I would also like to have the whole supercharger gone through/rebuilt. Is there any good shops that you guys would recommend here in Colorado? Or anywhere. Thanks guys.

Well, FWIW, I've never had the opportunity to rebuild an Eaton/ Magnuson/ TRD supercharger, they've mostly been PSI or SSI based 14-71 standard helix Roots Superchargers.
I have heard decent things about these guys, when it comes to Eaton Supercharger rebuilds: Supercharger Rebuild Services from Embree Machine at the The High Speed Lab, Eaton, MINI Cooper S R53, Powerdyne, Kenne Bell & Whipple Supercharger Rebuild Services & Supercharger Kits
For reference, the Eaton/ Magnuson/ TRD Supercharger, is an Eaton M62 Roots Supercharger.

Well could you rebuild it if I gave you the opportunity? I just don't have the time or experience. Where are located? And how much would you do it for?

I'm sure I could, but I'm afraid I simply don't have the time. Where I would have access to the machines and tools necessary to do so, I'd be working on the aforementioned 14-71 based superchargers, or other engine, fuel, or clutch components.
I have heard good things about Embree Machine from some fellow racers.

Alright thanks tho! I'll take a look. Any ideas where to find a new nose cone?

My "lack of time" comment may have sounded a little harsh, that wasn't my intent. When I'm at the shop, my job (and the rest of the Crew) is all about getting ready for the next race. We just don't do outside customer work.
As for the nose cone, if it were me, I'd ask the Business in the link. They deal with Eaton based Superchargers everyday. If a new nose cone isn't available, they should be able to weld it, and re-machine as necessary.
