Shuddering from stop

Hey guys, my 98 4x4 v6 auto, non e-locker, 210k miles, just started this yesterday. Drove it around all day, perfectly fine. Came home, truck sat a few hours, got back in it to leave, pulling out of the driveway it was shuddering and kind of lunging from a stop, at idle. I stopped, reversed, and same thing in reverse. The T-case shifter is shuddering while this happens. Shifted the t-case into neutral, back into 2H and same thing. If I accelerate it goes away and above 5mph you can't feel it, motor revs normally. I'm guessing tranny or t-case? Mounts maybe? I'm gonna change the fluids and look around to see if anything looks off. Any other suggestions? I searched around and didn't find anything definitive. Just hoping it doesn't need a tranny or something $$$. Thanks guys!

Mine was doing the same thing, it would shudder and felt like the transmission was slipping. It ended up being a cracked spark plug.

Well finally had time to look over everything, no pink milkshake I did the external tranny cooler when I bought the truck. It's missing, vibrates with revving, so I'll swap the plugs and go from there, I suspect a spark issue. whew! that's much easier than weird tranny/tcase shaking. I'll post up when I get it fixed. thanks guys.

Your lucky. Auto transmission shudder usually means new tranny.

Well plugs didn't fix it, but I think it needed em anyway...
I'll go get plug wires tomorrow. I'm afraid I'll probably need new coil packs too I bet. I bet they're not cheap.

Put some NGK wires on it, good as new! It actually thew a code, #6 cylinder misfire, that helped narrow it down. Runs perfect again now, 210k miles and counting.

Oh btw I was told it had the plugs and wires done but the plugs were half NGK and half denso so I would bet they were original.

Looks like your valve cover gaskets are leaking pretty bad.
