What to look for when buying a used G3 4Runner???

My wife and I decided we are buying a 3rd gen 4runner for her and have already decided on a limited trim level. That aside, I searched this forum for common problems with the truck and things to look for when buying used, but didnt find much info aside from looking for the maintenance and service records. I am familiar with Toyotas, as my father will only buy Toyota. We will be looking tomorrow, so any replies will be appreciated.

What years are you looking at as there's some major changes in options from the '96-'98,'99-'00 and the last two years of 3rd gens?
Besides a timing belt change around 90k there isn't much to worry about 4Runners with under 100k as long as it had regualr maintenance.
My '99 has 111k on it and the ONLY thing besides brakes and normal maintenance was the rear axle seals replaced at 100k which isn't uncommon.
