Ignitor circuit fault bank 1 code p1300

I have been trying to figure out y this thing cuts out. Sometimes it runs good then all the sudden it will cut out but never dies while driving. If it's just idling and it acts up it dies. I've changed the coils, plugs, wires and mass flow air sensor. I heard it has a ignitor module if so will that go bad and where is it located? It's a 2000 SR5 4wd 3.4 auto tranny. I'm thinking a short somewhere and don't know where to start.

FSM sez for p1300-Igniter Circuit Malfunction
possible issues:
1) Ignition system
2) Open or short in IGF and IGT circuits from igniter to ECM (check connections)
3) Igniter
4) Ignition coil
5) ECM.

In that order of diagnosis-starts on pg 308. Lots to check-igniter sits under rt side of hood behind airfilter box. I suggest you follow the FSM procedures, you've already done #1&4, so move on to 2/3/5. Luck!

My son, with a 01 4runner had the above codes.

It wasn't the ignitor, spark plug, computer or any of that. It was a bad negative terminal on the battery. Poor ground. Ours was really bad. The wire was corroded with battery acid for more than 8" away from the battery.

Cut the bad wire off,
Cleaned wire with baking soda solution and compressed air
Put new terminal on the battery and cable

Started engine- The miss was gone and the light was off. Problem solved. 6 bucks!

Check for simple things before buying components.
