Good bye jeep, hello again toyota

After a month or so of searching I finally found a 4runner that had all I was wanting. I got a 99 limited with diff lock and the multi function 4wd system 160k miles timing belt was just done , immaculate 1 owner vehicle and got it for $6k. I am so happy to be out of our 07 grand Cherokee which at times would not turn off. I could turn off ignition remove the key and car would stay running. The only way to turn it off was either disconnecting battery or making sure my phone was connected to blue tooth on the vehicle and making a phone call. Once the car registered I was making a call and connected to the stereo, the Jeep would turn off lol.
Lots of mods planned for the new to me 4r.

Wow, you flipped it already...good job. Haha, just kidding dude. Welcome! Did you do much off roading in the Jeep? Other than the ignition issue, how did you like it?

Looks like a nice, clean starting point! Is there any rust?

That ignition issue sounds like quite the issue, but I can't help laugh thinking about how the car simply wouldn't die.

Like Kanger, I'm also curious about if you did any wheeling in your Jeep.

Can't wait to see this progression!

It was nice inside , amazing in snow and on ice. Sucked on gas. It didn't see anything more than gravel roads and paved dirt roads.

No rust on the 4r. It was really well cared for and a California original

WKs are nice street queens. Good work on the 3rd gen. might want to turn that gravity lock off though. your car's kinda upside down.

I have a 04 Grand Cherokee also. The 4Runner gets better milage but this past winter we fought over who drove the jeep when the snow or ice fell from the sky. Cause unless the Toy was in 4wd it was all over the place.

My cummins with a 8800gvwr rides nicer than the Toy.
