Turn signal doesn't work but clicks.
Left turn signal is fine. Right turn signal clicks, but the dash light and exterior lights stay off too. I changed the bulbs even though I thought they were good just to eliminate it. Anyone know what else could be broken here?

Also I just figured if I pull the switch back a touch, it seems to work. A bad switch maybe?

If positioning the switch changes what it does, yes it has failed.

Agree. Does Hazard Switch work on that side on front and rear? If they do, a blinker failure on one side (front and rear) pretty much has to be the switch.
This is a 2002, but I'd guess 2001 is similar, if not identical:

I've been having this exact problem on my 4runner for the last 6 months.
Where is this switch located?

It's at the end of the stalk.

Turn Signal switch purchase
I saw a couple that has fog light switches on ebay, would this work? I don't have fogs but I think it's prewired if it helps.

I finally from the local jyard! It works. Now the only problem is I don't know how to use a working signal switch properly. I still push it back a touch. Habits habits!
