COuld be any number of things. Any local auto parts store can scan the code for you and that will tell you where to look. Mine threw a code a few weeks ago and it was something to do with the fuel line. Turns out the gas cap was a little loose. Tightened it, reset the code and haven't seen it since.

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank #1) is one of many "common" ones. Some codes also shut off your VSC/Trac to save power robbing functions in case the engine is struggling for power due to the original code. So now your code has turned into a safety issue with your vehicle having no stability control or traction in case of an emergency.

But there are hundreds, so you Have to get your system read. If you don't have one go to auto zone, they'll read for free except in Cali. You can also buy an inexpensive reader on ebay for about $15, shop around.

So let us know what code you get. Luck!

Get yourself the Android TQ app for a few bucks and you have an ODB2 scanner with datalogging features.

Yes works great, I personally have used it on many friends and family vehicles. App is $5.99 or free if you roll that way.
