3rd Gen Retrofit (1998)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to post the Retrofit / Black Out Mod I did on my 1998 Toyota 4Runner. I had to buy a separate pair of headlights because of the lack of transparency on the headlight casings of the 1998 and older. If anyone has any questions or criticism, I would love to hear what people have to say about it.

Criticism? IT LOOKS CHITY!

JK man!!! No criticisim here! Thats the awesome thing about retros they all are unique and all look very cool in all kinds of ways!

I really dig the all black look though. It kind of is sleeper and helps understate the retros till ya fire them up, and then its like DANG!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Hmmmm. So wondering if he's keeping them or selling them? He posted on craigslist and here around the same time.

@TLD3G
Also, did you put the newer bumper on yourself or did you buy it like that? I looked at your previous posts and you said you bought it like a month or two ago. You say it's a '98 but you have a '99-'02 front bumper on there. Just curious if you were aware of that.

Looks pretty good.. But I have to ask, why are you selling them already if you just did them and they are brand new?? Extra cash?? Gonna do another set?

I'm a perfectionist and theres glue seeping through into the casing on the headlight on the right side. I could open it up and fix it but part of me wants to do another one for fun, and I guess I wouldn't mind the extra cash either.

I bought it like that. I actually wasn't aware that it was a '99 - '02 Bumper. Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it!
