Wheel/tire fitment, stock height

Looking for some help please!!

If this topic has been discussed already, I apologize for not finding the threads. I have been looking on this site for almost 2 months to find it, to no avail. So, if it has, any links to said threads would be awesome! Thanks much!!

I want to keep my runner at stock height, but want to change the wheels and tires from stock. It's on a 2001, with the extended fender flares. I want the outer edge of the tires to reach or just slightly clear the outer edge of the flares.

I am curious if anyone knows what offset and backspacing specs I should be looking for when looking at the wheels? What tire size would be best for a slightly larger than stock size. Id prefer 8" wide wheels, and will be going with BFG All-Terrains.

You could just add wheel spacers to your current wheels to stick them out more

Great idea, but I was wanting a different look than what the stock 5 spokes provide.

I was hoping to go with something along the lines of the procomp steel series 52 or 97

I am also open to using wheel spacers, but would prefer to do it with proper backspacing and offset if at all possible

It's hard to make wheels sit flush with limited flares without spacers and 265s

I have a 98 Limited with LX450/FZJ80 rims and they lineup with the flares and it's and 8" OEM rim.

I have 285s on FZJ80 wheels and they are about flush, with 265s and no spacer it would prob be close. The rear axle is a 1/4'' narrower then the front so keep that in mind. If you want flush with 265s and stock 16x7 wheels you'd need 1.5in spacers in the rear and 1.25in spacers in the front.

fitment

ok so ive searched and searched and even ordered multiple wheels to test fit and had to send them back but ill explain my problem.. i have a 2000 model with a 3 inch lift and i want to put 33x12.50s on it WITHOUT WHEEL SPACERS. im having a problem finding a wheel that will meet those standards. i had a budy that had a tundra with 17in wheels and 33x12.50s on it and i test fitted them on my runner and it worked perfect but i was drinking at the time and forgot to measure the wheel. but that lets me know that there is a way to make it fit without wheel spacers. Can anyone tell me how to find out what i need please?????

Co-sign on this. I've had 3 different tires in this exact same size w/ no rubbing whatsoever. First were the Yokos Geolander A/T-S, then the Bridgestone Duelers Revo, now currently the BFG All-Terrain T/A KOs.

Love the look of the bigger tires. Makes the Runner look beefier and more rugged.
