*URGENT* *HELP* Front Spring ID, Blue/Red & Blue/Blue; which side is which? Please!
Ok guys, This is a Repost, but I deleted my other thread, I need this information ASAP. The 4runner is a 1998, SR5, 3.4, Four Wheel Drive. Can someone go look on their rig real quick possibly????
What side of the Vehicle does the Red/Blue spring go on, and obviously which side is the Blue/Blue? I need to know this As Soon As POSSIBLE!!!
I have searched and searched, but I can not find ANY information about Springs for a 4Runner that are Red/Blue and Blue/Blue.
The rear of my truck has Yellow/Red, and I know they aren't side specific...
The FRONT is the problem. I didn't pay attention when I removed them, I kept them separate, intending to put them back on the same side, but ultimate had to take them to my buddies shop so I had two sets of spring compressors and a nice Vice to work with; needless to say, both assemblies got thrown in a box and I lost orientation.....
It wasn't until afterwards that I noticed the different markings and read online that the drivers side has a slightly taller spring to compensate for weight.
I'm reassembling and I REALLY need to know this ASAP. I need to get this rig aligned today, and although it is fairly easy to swap them back and forth, I would prefer to have it aligned with the proper springs on each side!!
Thank you immensely for all of the help I have received over the past week or so!!! It is much appreciated!!

Edit, I believe Blue/Blue is the passenger side, and the red/blue is driver's, but I just want to be sure.
The only link Google is finding for me is a "YotaTech" thread, and for some reason my computer wont allow me to hit Yotatech.... My Antivirus software blocks the page saying it is a security risk? I don't have another computer to give it a shot on.

OK, Wait, You said I was correct, but the information you gave was the opposite??
Here is the YotaTech link, I finally got to it on my phone.
Anyone with a 1998 4WD 4Runner and stock front springs - Page 2 - YotaTech Forums
There, they said

pass side=blue/blue
Hope this helps(at leasts my springs are clean now"
And someone followed by saying "Ditto This"
But you all are saying
Driver's Side is Blue/Blue
Passenger's Side is Red/Blue
???
LOL, So which is it???? I actually already put one on, I was just about to bolt the other up, but if you guys are right, I have it Wrong. If those guys are right, I have it right??

Positively? Not doubting, I just want to make sure, because it sounded like someone ran outside and looked at their stock rig on the other page to get the information.
Where did you get the info? did you take a look on your rig, or is there a good "TOYOTA SPRING FAQ" somewhere that lists them?
I really appreciate the help!

I know I'm not alone when I say this. Your posts and their 'urgency', cap letters, bold+color/etc annoy the hell out of me. Ever heard of the boy cried wolf story? I think this is like the 3rd or 4th one I've seen. You are very lucky people are so nice here and willing to consistently help.

On the Yota Tech link, there are 4-5 People that have answered,
Four People (2 1996's and 2 1998's) That said they went and looked at their stock truck and it was
Driver's - Blue/Red
Passenger's - Blue/Blue
One person with a 1999 model had this
Driver's - Blue/Red
Passenger's - Blue/Yellow
So this is making me think it is Blue/Red on the Driver's side and Blue/Blue on the Passenger's

Well, when you're scrambling to get something together, and google isn't helping, (there are no write-ups for steering rack installs, and I haven't found a spring FAQ anywhere that is relevant) I feel like *URGENT* helps get replies...
I had asked this question 3 days ago, without "*URGENT*" in the title... and got absolutely ZERO replies... Now I have replies. Sorry it annoys you, though.
And the color coding is for clarity.. when you spend three years highlighting law briefs to get a juris doctorate, you kind of get in the habit of doing things to make things clear.... Obviously, this is something debatable considering the differences in information...

Obviously, those were markings on Tundra Springs, I wonder if Toyota carried over the same scheme to 4runners (or should I say from 4runners to Tundras) or if they would be vehicle specific?
Thanks for the help once again. I believe im going to bolt it all up, finish up this rack and pinion and go drive it around the block a few times and let things settle and come back and measure before the alignment

If you're a lawyer, you should be rich enough to pay for all your truck's wrenching needs ;)
I feel you, sorry if my rant offended you... Just try to tone it down on the *URGENT MELTDOWN* threads if you can.
