MV-50 Superflow compressor power option?

Has anyone cut off the alligator clips and put on a cigarette lighter adapter?
I have the 12v lighter plug by the rear hatch and I think it would be cool to be able to run the compressor from there.
Can it carry the amps? I doubt it, but would like a few opinions and/or other inexpensive options. Thanks

It has alligator clips because of the amperage draw.

The wires going to the rear power outlet are fairly small and not large enough for the MV-50 unfortunately. You would get a significant amount of voltage drop and the wires would heat up, at least until the fuse blows.

I ran a 8awg wire to the hatch to power my MV-50 and it's been working fine for ~4 years.

Mv50 would blow fuse fast if your lucky. Put it under hood or rune big power wire from bat to back
