Steering knuckle replacement

While replacing the rack/pinion on my '02 I grabbed the end of the steering link (where it attaches to the rack) and "wiggled it around" and found that there is also some play in that linkage. Seems that there is a short shaft on the steering wheel then a knuckle then a shaft that drops down to the rack (circled in attached) - how difficult is this sucker to replace?

I'm interested in this as well. After the dealer installed a reman R&P I have just a little play in the same area. Apparently, they used the BFH and a chisel to remove the old coupler and I think damaged the same knuckle.

I replaced that piece when I replaced the steering rack a few months ago. You will have to find a way to separate the two steering linkages either by unbolting and moving the steering rack a couple of inches or pulling the steering column a couple of inches through the dash (if possible).
