Thought I'd add to the lineup. This is my $640 4runner. Removed running boards, replaced starter, replaced drive shaft and has new sway bar bushings with new end links.
I was told about a trail near me that's used by the utility company to service transmission lines. This was my 2000 4runner's first serious off-road challenge.
I was totally impressed by how capable it is. Only lift mods are 99 talls front and rear with 1.5" spacers in the rear. Hydroshocks in back, monomax struts up front and some Dick Cepek trail country exp's which I highly recommend.
I had an 01 a few years ago and regretted getting rid of it. I found this 02 with only 114,000 miles on it. I just finished the new waterpump/timing belt and valve cover gaskets.. It is NICE!
very nice, what was wrong with it? my record was 4 attempts on a 94 2wd yota pickup. it ended being an o2 sensor.
I replaced the cat converter and o2 sensors. My issue was with the “catalyst monitor” not setting. Drove it for like a year and nothing! It took a 10 mile drive after I replaced the cat and sensors to reset.
