Can you put one side-by-side w/ the HID's?

As I posted earlier, this in all liklihood will be my next mod. A buddy of mine has been adding HID's to a lot of cars through his audio shop so I'm next.

I know this is a dumb question but is it truly night and day difference and in your opinion, is this mod worth $300?

I Had to get them custom made from a place in Vancouver BC. they deal a lot with carbon fiber stuff, and all i had to do was bring my truck over, take apart some stuff so that they can get a clear good measurment and its was done in about a week.

unfortunately, i don't have a pic before i had the HID's but i used to go through LOTS of headlight. PIAA, Razo, Nighhawks and i will NEVER go back to anything else. it was well worth the mod. it costed just over $500 CDN for my kit and it has HID hi and low beam. On the hi beam, all that hapens is that the HID buld moves inward and down so that it hits a different set of reflectors in the headlight lens. so in actuallity, there really is only one settign on the lights, but two different height settings.

Some shots of my current project... a cargo area that holds all of my amps, subs, as well as organizational storage compartments. This is a work in progress still. The last photo is the current state of the build. I should be done sometime next month.

Beginning plans

Top View

2 forms made... lots of work still to do

False floor for amps & stuff!

False floor installed... with the Infinity 10" sub

Another view...

more to come...

Miscellaneous Shots:

The shot that made the YotaTech.com calendar

Me and my best friend out in the Lancaster/Palmdale area

Stuck on a sandbar... TOTALLY kidding, but that would be funny if it was someone else!

Some of the YotaTech.com trucks at a meet...

Another angle

Notice Edwin's (ebelen1) redrun (like REDRUM) to the left!

My truck on Xmas eve... the town goes nuts when I go out like this. People honking, waving, shouting and just generally giving mad props to my rig.

Erik man that is a sick looking runner

I noticed that its a 4x2. do you do much offroading in it? mine is also 4x2 and id like to do some mild stuff and wanted to know what kind of limitations you have.

btw id def like to see that box setup finished when you get it done.. looks like a very nice design so far!

Thanks man... I love it. It's the biggest 3rd gen in our town. However, I did pass by a guy the other day who had a phat setup as well. Too bad he was going 75mph in the opposite direction, I'd love to chat with him and compare rigs.

I used to do a fair amount until my kids were born. Now it's harder to get away alone and the wife doesn't want the kids going... so you see my dilemna.

1WD is my only limitation. I'd love to have even 2wd while out playing. However, I'd need a locker to even accomplish the 2wd setup. You'll know what I mean if you ever get stuck.

I've never had a problem keeping up with the people who all have 4wd. In fact, when my buddy in the Tacoma got stuck (the day the pics were taken), I had to pull him out. I got him out, but consequently got stuck as well. I ended up puting a piece of carpet under my tire and got myself out, no problem.

I'll definately post more pics up when it's done. They'll probably be either in this thread or the custom install thread (since I JUST noticed it). I think it fits under that category better!
