follow that thread! i used that and other threads from searching on yotatech.com. i've got all blue LED in the guage cluster, a/c control, auto shifter, key ring, cig lighter, anything with a bulb. two website to buy from that i recomend:
www.superbrightleds.com
www.autoalumination.com

i've ordered a crap ton from superbrightleds. but autoalumination seems to be a little more higher-end LEDS but superbrightleds has a a little better prices.

Don't forget www.v-leds.com

Recently I have been ordering from there, You get two led's in each purchase where autolumination you only got one.

Are you talking about the toyota factory stereo?

Was wondering the same thing too....I have a factory stereo in mine as well, hooked up to a JL audio clean sweep, and I wanted to see if i could change out the LED's to white bulbs.... so I took off the face, and it turns out that they're tiny green LED's soldered onto the circuit board. I'm sure it can be done, but it's not a plug n play simple job.

I'm planning to go with white LED's, but because of the green lights on the stereo, I'm probably going to leave all my HVAC controls green, and just change out the lights on the guage cluster.

If you do have a factory stereo in yours.....a simpler solution would be to get a new head unit to match your new set of LEDs. It'll sound better and look better too.

I just have a preference for factory stereos over aftermarket, so i opted for the JL clean sweep.

FYI: The lights in the door lock switches are also tiny green LEDs soldered into the board. Also the white LEDs are very difficult to match up because of differences in their lighting temperature, some have a cool appearance and others have a warm appearance. I switched back to mostly factory lighting after I found that nothing matched up and some areas had hot spots.

LOL man, I dunno. I'd have to bake my headlights in the oven to get them apart and I dunno if I'm up to doing that... lol

Tried swapping out a lot of lights all at once (instrument cluster, PRNDL, Climate control) didn’t see this mentioned anywhere but I learned that some of the bulbs come out of the little plastic housing (in the instrument cluster and PRNDL) but some do not (pretty much everything in the media trim and climate control)

Popped a couple in the climate control thinking they were just tough to pull out.

Also learned that the climate control won’t function without these plastic inserts. So had to dissemble again and put them in as place holders until the new bulbs come in.

Oops. Live and learn hahaha

So, I actually ordered replacements and left the broken bulbs in the climate control for now so that my AC functions. Anyone have any clue if this might be a fire hazard? Rather pull them out and go without an AC for now if that’s the case.
