Are these suspension components a good deal for the price?

I found a guy selling Bilstien 5100 series four shocks front and rear with Moog/Bilstien coilover front springs for a 2002 Toyota Tacoma TRD V6 4WD. Brand new still in box. Asking price is 450.

I'll be needing shocks at some point in the future for my '96 and figure upgrading isn't a horrible idea.

My questions are:

1) Generally accepted that these shocks work well for 3rd gens?

2) I'll need a new set of rear springs as well?

3) I can use these at stock height or just a bit of lift if i want? (front and rear)

I'm already running 265/75/16's and I don't really wheel a ton. So a small lift might be all I would ever want just to help out in winter and rougher logging roads. I'm not interested in needing to drop the differential and get longer break lines and all that stuff. I'm more the overland expedition type and daily driver than a rock crawler.

Thanks for any opinions.

I would pass on them. Brand new four shock Bilstein 5100 set is $360, no idea what Moog springs run but Eibachs are $163 (new). So that's $73 more for a brand new setup, unless it's new I wouldn't get them. You can always get new shocks and then get some used springs for the same price.

I don't know how much lift Moog springs give, Eibachs give 3" of lift on the lowest setting of the 5100s.

same, pass, you can put together a lift for about that without buying everything used.

Thanks for the info guys! Really appreciate it.

I didn't want to miss out on a screaming local deal. Letting this one go and continuing the research into what would suit my needs best for ride and height.
