Mickey Thompson Baja STZ

Well, I got a wild hair and just somewhat compulsively bought a set of Mickey Thompson Baja STZ's in 265/75r16's from 4WheelParts, and in the checkout they had a $100 instant rebate with free to your door shipping.

All together with tax and shipped to my door, it was $554.

When I get them on I'll be sure to snap a few pics and then give some initial impressions with long term updates every once in a while.

These are the same tires I have. I like them, they get me where I wanna go with out too much trouble. Can't really compare them to my old tires which were mostly bald all season tires haha

I got them installed a few days ago and so far, so good! They are waaaay better than my previous half-worn Goodyear Tracker 2's that were on there from when I purchased the vehicle. These STZ's put out a slight bit more sound, but they are far more of a comfortable ride, the sidewall doesn't flex and roll in turns, they look nice, upsizing to the 265/75's over the 70's looks more correct on the truck, they grip on the road remarkably, and the wet and sloppy ditch I ran them through about 5 miles after installation would have required 4wd with those crappy Trackers, but these Mickey Thompson's pulled through in 2wd without even a slight hesitation.

Now, this is all being said after only about a week and less than 100 miles, but I'm digging them so far.

I will get some pictures posted over the weekend for those who want to see them installed, post an update whenever I get to actually use them a bit offroad, then keep updating every 6 months or so to keep the review current and up to date.

How do you like your tires now that you've had them for a while? Have any pictures?
