Smile 99 Tall Coils - In Canada??

Hey guys,

So I have a 98 Limited with 215,000 Km on it and the ride control is stock and completely done. I'm interested in the 99 tall coils all the way around with a set of KYB Gas-a-justs to go with them. I was originally going to go with a full lift like the LC/Tundra setup but I'm not sure how long I'm planning on keeping this truck as I may move up to a 4th gen in a couple years.

Basically I want to get rid of my sag and then a little bit more, while maintaining a stock feel inside, and retaining the ability to easily sell the truck if need be. I want to do this as inexpensively as possible while being good quality of course.

So I've done a fair bit of research and contacted my local Toyota stealership. For all 4 coils I would be looking at $610 before taxes. That is way too much. So I'm interested in knowing if any of the Canadians out there have had any luck ordering from the states, and what their opinions are, on said sites.

From what I've read, it seems as though any stock shock/strut will be the correct length with the tall coils, correct? Also if anyone has a better recommendation than KYB Gas-a-justs for the same price range (Rock Auto for $215CDN before shipping) that would be great.

Thanks!

I've had success with these guys. Conicelli Parts Center. They ship USPS so that helps us out. Looked up 2 rear springs and shipping to Canada and it's $ 186 us -10% for liking them on Facebook.

Good luck

I have placed several orders with Toyota of Dallas parts. I have been very happy with the service. They will ship postal service which is slower but way cheaper.

I found a nice set of 99 tall front springs at the wreckers. Try calling around.

OP, to save money you can always look for a set of used 99 coils. I found a set or front 99s on ebay with 90k miles and am running them now and they work great. Though I would go with new ones if money is not an issue.

As far as the KYB gas shocks, I would steer clear of them. I ran them for a while and they were way too harsh for me. I would recommend bilsteins (which are what Im running with my 99 coils right now) or even stock Tokicos. Nothing wrong with the stock setup. The tokicos are good shocks
