The SludgeRunner graciously donated its front doors to make some half doors for me!
Plans for sometime- maybe this winter. On the backburner. Rear bumper build and rear control arms are waaaay higher priority
Popped open the transmission to measure the bearing sizes for the inevitable rebuild in the future.

Looks like another awesome trip. The rock formation is cool. The pizza looks delicious!

6 or 7? Now I'm just jealous!
Your home state is beautiful in the fall, a good place for some outdoors therapy.

Lots of too short weekends!
Well, we are in a drought this month. The trees are starting to drop leaves already.... probably won't be very pretty this year
Hopefully it'll make for some dry 4wheeling next weekend!

Been super busy at work. Haven't had a whole lot going on camping wise. I did get my bumper almost finished and build some rear upper control arms! I'll have a full write-up when I get the lowers done.
Here are some pictures from back in October when I was out solo!
Camp for the weekend
I spent most of my time hiking around in the rain looking for pretty views
Some pretty vegetation
Dutch oven cooking is my favorite!! I got this little 8 inch for my birthday and I LOVE IT!!
GLOW
A nice size rock house
Checking out some trails I haven't been on in over two years!! One of the private property inholding owners bulldozed the trails and it isn't one gigantic 2 mile long mud hole any more to get back in the back!
Next things for the 4Runner is a mini swingout on the rear bumper, finish my RLCAs, limit straps in the back, panhard lift.
I should be picking up an old dune buggy/ go cart from a friend next weekend. Stay tuned for that lol. I think it already has mud tires and everything I want. Just needs some mud guards and a windshield and she'l be ready to rip!

I'm still here!! LOL
I've still been tinkering around with the 4Runner. Got a lot of work to do in the near future.. getting ready for a trip to Wyoming in late May.
Just replaced my sending unit in the gas tank today and my gauge still doesn't work not the gauge cluster either.
Well, I made a swingout for my bumper. Hi lift mount, shovel mount, and fold down table for my stove. It works great!!
Probably going to buy a new throttle body from the stealer soon. Mine is totally shot.
Then, I need to find a transmission to replace my wore out one. Started not going into first gear at a stop again. Might as well replace the clutch while I'm at it.
Starter is messing up sometimes too. Probably going to get a junkyard Denso and rebuild it myself. I have a parts store one that was on it when I got the truck.
Well I see close to a thousand bucks going into the old beast soon. Maybe I'm crazy
I also made a limiting chain (because I'm a cheap-o that likes to rig things) in hopes that it will keep my driveshaft from eating my gas tank skid. We'll see how it works next weekend hopefully! Oh yeah, I should get my lower control arms all welded up tomorrow and install before testing on the rocks next weekend!!

Time for my monthly.... update lol
Not been working on the ole 4Runner too much lately. Jut been working a ton and enjoying it when I can.
Wheeling trip last month: Hi-Lift got used twice (once on me to put sticks under my tires
My swingout table works great!! I used the same wire mesh that I used to make my DIY MOLLE panels in the back windows
Last weekend with my 96 5-Speed buddy
On the way out Sunday morning
Had the half doors out about a month ago!
A special day
I wound up buying a brand new throttle body from Toyota. About $350 and came with new TPS and IAC Valve. Fixed my high idle issue! And also my transmission goes in 1st at a stop now because the idle is lower!
"lipstick on a pig"
That's about it. I've had several more weekend trips, but no pictures worth posting. I need to replace the bolts on my limiting chains because they were too small and snapped. Other than that, the chains work great!!
