Hey guys need some help
I dont know if this is a serious problem or not, but it happened when i was on my way home from grocery shopping.
when I turn left i hear a metal type of grinding noise in the rear of the vehicle. It SEEMS like it also goes with the tire rotation. I looked under the car and nothing seems out of the ordinary (im not a mechanic, no leaks or anything out of place)
So i tested it out in really low speeds <15km/h by quickly swaying the car left to right and vice versa, and it only grinds when the weight of the car is on the left side, when the weight of the car is on the right side in any speed no noise in the right side.... but even at the lowest speed when there is a bit of weight shifted to the left side of the car i hear the grinding noise. Also little bumps to big bumps during straight also makes the noise on the left side.
I have done a bit of searching and a lot of people are saying it might be CV joints or even the backing plates on brake drums?
Noise is a metal to metal scraping sound i checked youtube videos about bad CV's and majority show clicking sound during turning and acceleration i dont get that type of noise
One thing i really noticed today was, on my way home, the car during acceleration at highway speeds really started to sway left and right repeatedly, I made a thread about it before and concluded it might be because i have the left link disconnected but today was just excessive. I found it really weird, id have to slow down just to stop it from swaying so much, i know it occurred before but today was when it was really excessive and i really noticed it.
Just giving all the things i noticed today prior to the grinding sound just to help diagnose it. please help this is my DD
