Alright exactly one week down since I installed the tranny cooler and flushed the fluid and no leaks and 4Runner is running and shifting great! No DSLR picture updates but about to start the projector retrofit, can't wait! Updates soon.

This is an awesome thread! I like your methodical approach to the order you are taking care of things. I have the same exact truck, color, and all. I also have an e36 M-sport that I love. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! It's a pretty boring thread so far with just maintenance basically but need to get it all knocked out and dead reliable before putting money into the fun stuff. Looking forward to following yours too!

Projector retrofits are fun, albeit a little time consuming (if painting too) but really rewarding. Lots of good project threads on the subject here.

I just did a trans cooler too, no leaks and performance since the add has been great! On average about 20 degrees cooler trans temps across the board and no leaks.

Looking forward to your progress

Transmission coler mod

Is there a good write up you suggest? Is the transmission temp an issue known with these?

Thanks! I can’t wait to get the headlights done, I’ve done a retrofit on my E36 so hope this isn’t too bad.

The tranny temps can jump if you work it hard but most people put them on to bypass the radiator cooler as they can fail and mix with the engine coolant. I did mine in series since I just replaced the radiator.

No updates but I was slow and bored at work this morning so I was messing around with some editing on some pics I took earlier this year. Figured I'd post them here as a reference to how the 4runner looks at the end of 2017.

I know, we need to get them out! And you need to start a build thread already!

What bulb did you order? I was looking at doing something similar this weekend

I was off work today and started messing around with the 4Runner. When I first tried installing the Hella Horns I didn't have them grounded properly. Fixed that today and mounted them up, damn are they loud!

I also bought a new bug shield. The dipshits that stole our 4Runner managed to break the factory bug guard, dented the bumper and scratched the shit out of the hood. I thought it looked kind of naked without one so I threw a new one on today.

My two new headlights were delivered today so I'll start the HID retrofit this week while I'm off work and I also have another factory bumper to throw on. Would have liked to wait for a custom one but I'm sick of looking at the dent so it'll do for now.

Happy Holidays everyone!
