Figured I'd chime in. Just finished installing mine. As everyone said its $130 on amazon shipped. The OP write-up was excellent, a few tweaks of mine; first the "pins" are stainless steel rivets, package comes with 5, I put 2 in each side where the snorkel hood fit over the body, the other 3 I used for the bracket connection to the A-pillar. Rivets are used a lot in sheet metal fab, in conjunction with a rivet tool from Home Depot ($10-$20) you use a 3/16 drill bit and bore it out just slightly and install the mandrel (aka the head end) into the hole and use the rivet tool to mechanically fasten the sheet metal of the A-pillar to the bracket. This provides a much better fastening than using sheet metal screws to connect to the A-pillar.
Another tweak; after all your holes are cut/drilled for the body of the snorkel and ready for install, I installed the rubber "L" shape component on the snorkel so that you can get a nice tight seal with the steel clamp where plastic meets rubber. I then installed the snorkel feeding the rubber in first and through to the airbox area. Once there it took a little heat and application grease on the airbox intake to get the rubber end on the airbox. I had a mechanic friend of mine helping me at that point, as it is easier with an extra set of hands and do not forget to have the hose clamp around the rubber before attempting to install it on the airbox. I did it this way because of easy access to the hose clamps versus after being installed and then trying to get a good seal inside the fender tight against sheet metal. Hope this helps. Below is a drop box link for some pics of what I did, not sure how to upload photos as I'm a NEWBIE.

A question for you guys:
How long did your snorkel take to arrive? I'm looking at the amazon seller for $130 shipped but the shipping time looks to be 2+ months! I'd be ok with 1 month but 2+ is just excessive!
There are some Australian sellers with 1 month shipping times for a bit more money than the $130 Chinese seller.
Who ordered from where and did you find the shipping times longer or shorter than advertised?

I ordered from a seller on ebay: govsgo on the 12/22/2014 with an estimated delivery time of 01-05 to 01/19. I recieved an update from the seller on 12/29 and the snorkel was delievered on 01/09. So all and all it took a little over 2 weeks. This is a link to what he currently has for sale at $115, but it does say the shipping estimate goes into april...

This is the quickest turn around of any product Ive seen ordered.
I know of a guy that bought his on the 2/16 with an expected arrival date of 3/2-3/17...It literally was on his door step (from Malaysia) on 2/18...free shipping, two day turn around. I was joking with him that I couldn't get bushings from Cali by USPS 2-day priority under 5 days. Cali-SoNev should be a one day turn around, yet this thing traveled half the world in less than 48 hours.

Hmm this is pretty intriguing and almost makes me hesitant about ordering this $130 snorkel. That being said, I don't see any reason why it would cost less than the tacoma snorkel.

Brandon...I'm so excited to see what the 4Runner snorkel will looks like! It could be just like to Taco's or what I'm hoping for ...it looks like this snorkel that yall are use...but it fits the body lines a lot better....that would be Awesome!!!
Now, I did hear a rumor around the campfire! They were saying that the entry price is supposed to be lower than the Tacos!!! Now with that said...I don't think it will ever sell for the price that yall are paying for this knock/off. But if I can get an ARB Safari Snorkle made for a 3rd gen w-5VZ 4Runner...that fits snug again the body lines and it cost in the $300's.....I'm buying!!!!

I have always wanted a snorkel but honestly living in Tucson, AZ i have no real need for one so it would be simply cosmetic (unless i dont know other benifits of having one)
