purchased morimoto fog light kit from the retrofit source, no power to fogs?

I have an 02 with the projector style fog lights. Ordered the kit with h3 bulbs. Making sure everything works, I plugged everything in, but nothing. I emailed them this past week because the two connectors that plug into the fog light connectors (where normal bulbs would plug into) are on the same pig tail and only 5 inches long, meaning no way am I reaching both lights. They emailed back saying only one needs power. Well, its not working so before I wait a few more days to hear back from another email, I figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks in advance

Can you post a pic of the lights, I'm a little confused as to what's going on.

Have you used a circuit tester to see if there is power to the plugs?

Are you using the factory fog light relay and switch?

Im attaching one pic I had handy. Its the connectors from the harness. I was told this plugs into the connector on the fog light itself(the one that a regular bulb would plug into). I haven't circuit tested anything and yes I'm using the factory switch and relay.

I did try testing the power straight off the positive terminal on the battery with no luck.

Ok so those male connectors you have pictured are supposed to plug into the female that the stock fog light boot and plug connects to.

Ya it should just be plug and play, but the first check would be to get a circuit tester (the thing that looks like a poker that has a light bulb in it and a alligator clip coming out of it). Put the alligator clip on the frame somewhere, and put the poker in the plug and the light should light up.

That will confirm you have power to the plug. Then plug in the plug, and do the same thing at the female connectors in the fog light boot. If there is power there, then the problem is most likely all the corrosion (white stuff in the background of your picture).

These fog lights were a poor design because they always get water and junk in through the hole, and the corrosion will cause the contact points not to conduct well. A steel brush and some vinegar helps to get that stuff clean, then some rubbing alcohol to get it to dry cleanly.

If there is no power to the plug, then you could replace the relay under the hood, or replace the turn signal stock.
