Whiteline W53377A lower control arm bushings

Anyone using these? I need new lower control arm bushings. These are $62 for all four. Dealer wants $42 for each bushing which is a heavy price to pay! Whiteline states the W53377A are inner bushings. What is the meaning of this?

I have no idea.

A guess? Maybe this aftermarket kit only includes the metal sleeve of the bushing, not the outer, plastic/rubber portion--just a wild guess.

Have you looked at TRDpart's site yet?

The kit includes everything you need to replace. Bushings, sleeves and cups. Much better than OEM.

Thanks for the info. Do you run them or anything else from the line?

I do run them, and like them. Don't have anything else from whiteline though. Used energy bushings on the steering rack installed at the same time.

Thanks for the info. Just bought them on amazon
Just noticed I purchased w553377 which was discontinued and replaced with w553377a. Any differance in the older model?

I called the company and they do have a lead time of 4-8 weeks on the W53377A. Looks like both amazon and ebay have the W53377 in stock which is the older model. Does anyone know what the difference is?

Should have asked why you had them on the phone I guess. I ordered mine from Amazon and probably got the old part number, they worked perfectly so I'm not sure what advantage the new number could have.

Bringing this thread up b/c I'm getting ready to install my whiteline front lower control arm bushings.

For anyone that's installed these, did you grease the outer most metal sleeve that surrounds the polyurethane bushing before installing it into the LCA? (the metal outer bushing sleeve that contacts the LCA)

I've asked a couple people & some said "yes" to grease the outer metal bushing sleeve in order to allow the entire bushing to rotate within the LCA and some said "no" b/c the outer metal sleeve is supposed to fit snug into the LCA & should not rotate, only the polyurethane bushing itself should be greased so it can rotate. I spoke to one of the guys from whiteline and they recommended to put a light coating of grease on the metal sleeve.

I'm kinda leaning towards not greasing the outer metal sleeve based on the what I was told & it seems that the OEM bushings does not have grease on the outer metal bushing sleeve. Thoughts?

Do not put grease between the bushing and the control arm... That needs to be a snug fit. For me I stuck my assembled bushings in the freezer for a few hours and the control arms in the oven and then install them without the need for a press.

What part number did you end up ordering?
The one that ends in an "a" ???

Where did you order it from and how long did it take to ship?

Part number is W53377A and ordered through the whiteline site and took about a week to come in. But when you place the order it will say aftermarket suspensionparts.com ....looks like es, prothane, & whiteline are all under aftermarketsuspensionparts.com bc when you go to each site, they all list the same contact number.

However i was given a direct number to whiteline regarding some specific questions about the bushings before i placed my order.
