Just to follow up this thread, I'm still getting a shake around the same speeds again, but it's not nearly as bad. I looked at the front lower control arm bushings yesterday and when turning the steering wheel against the steering stops I can see some play in the lower control arm bushings. Not a lot but there is some lateral play in the arm and the bushings have some cracks showing. Upper arms looked rock solid when doing the same thing. When I hit bumps (in a parking garage) or backing out of the driveway I can hear a pretty good rubbing/crunchy rubber sound so I think I'm stuck doing the LCA bushings, which I had hoped I wouldn't have to do. I already had the whitelines sitting in my tool box for years and ordered some replacement cam bolts as I will assume mine are seized despite my alignment shop being able to adjust them. Wish me luck, looking like I'll dive in this weekend.

Just wanted to follow up once again for anyone else chasing something like this in the future. Did not do the lower control arm bushings. I wanted to try pretty much everything else before I tried to tackle that job. Took my wheels/tires over to discount tire and had them rebalanced on the road force balancer. Guy said two were out by 1oz, one was spot on, and one he didn't know because they took the old weights off before checking it. Took the truck for a drive after and the shake was still there at ~40 but better at higher speeds. Talking with the guy at discount tire, he said, you have regular acorn style lugs, if it's still shaking a little we might try a different lug that has a longer shank that extends into the wheel. Well, I put a set of those on and it must have been able to center the wheel better, becuase 98% of the shake/vibration is now gone.

Here's what I had:

Style that fixed my issue:

I've had those wheels and lug nuts for at least 10 years and it didn't start having an issue until I swapped out to 33's. I was always careful mounting the wheels and doing the first 3 lugs in a triangle pattern tapping the wheel a lot to make sure it was centered and I still had issues with it. So for $45 if someone else is having an issue and is using the acorn style lug nuts, maybe try that.

Been having a slight vibration for a long time now that's progressively gotten more and more prominent, and never got better no matter how good my pinion angle was.
Then the other day I pulled my rear ABS sensor to not only see my brand new seals are leaking a little bit (despite doing the retainer flip) but the gear oil was so laden with glitter it formed a ball around the sensors magnets
I wonder what that could be. Pinion bearing perhaps?

What wheels are you running? Have you verified the seat type? If they don't have centering rings, also get a set of those to help.

The OEM (alloy) wheels use a flat washer seat and are centered with the hub, as are many/most other Toyota OEM wheels from that era.
