The roof “pass-through” will be boxed in with the body and tied into an internal roll bar.

That’s super rad! I haven’t seen one in person ever.
I actually decided to go a different route than fiberglass. I was concerned about longevity and how detrimental a stray tree branch could be...

Update 8/1/2020
Tern Overland window is in! Very stoked on the outcome. I will get some more photos uploaded soon.
My file was a bit off so the outer shape wasn’t perfect, though it was easily remedied with the jigsaw . I will be paneling the passenger side with no window cut out so I can test another.
Tern Overland provided the .dxf for the window so shout out to those gangstas!
Before installing the Tern window.
Bam.
Water leak test: pass

Cool build. I’m in the bay, Oakland. Currently doing a 3.4 swap but after let’s hit the trail

Build photo dump 11/02/2020
Interior mock up, floor is hard mounted. Norcold 12v fridge/freezer.
Bed platform supports upholstered.
Removable bed panels, one is larger than the other to allow for more room while standing and cooking if someone is in bed. I’m waiting on my 3-piece mattress to get back from the tailor.
Lonseal floor is glued in. Still need to add some aluminum trim to the back.
Wind fairing eliminated all the wind noise. Stoked at how quiet the rig is with the floor and Noico in place.

What is the benefit of this over a regular hardshell RTT? Killer project though!

There are quite a few, off the top of my head:
- Standing room for 2 people for cooking/food prep/getting dressed.
- A place to hangout during inclement weather. (adding an Espar heater for cold nights)
- You can access: sink, stove, bench, bed, storage, hot water, etc. without leaving the truck.

This is super cool. What do you estimate to be your total weight once you’re loaded down for travel?
