ticking noise from front drivers side of engine.

I have a faint ticking noise that is coming from the drivers side of my engine bay. I'm wondering if this is normal or not. It doesn't sound like valves ticking and isn't coming from the brake booster from what I can tell. Sounds like it is coming from a small canister (not sure what it's called) next to the fuse box. I don't think it's a big deal it just bugs me.

Check the last spark plug back there closest to the fire wall. If it isnt tightened enough (which can be hard to do without moving things or having the right wobble extension. Mine was "ticking" as it hit the inside of the plug wire, a quick tighten and no more noise.

I was going to say spark plug also. Mine slowly came loose on me so i had to re torque it. But the area you circled in the picture suggests you are hearing the charcoal canister which is normal

That picture is one of your evaporative emissions vsv's. When it is operating, it makes a clicking sound. So it's normal.

Also would it be okay to take the hoses off this charcoal canister thing briefly to clarify that it is the cause of the noise? I'm don't want it to turn on any service lights on the dash.
