Acceleration problems uphill

My 1997 SR5 has problems going up big hills, especially from a slow start. It starts to shake quite a bit and feels all together like it's struggling. I had an engine code that pointed at misfires on #5. I changed the plug wires last weekend and WILL change plug 5 tonight (they were just changed 6 months ago). Is there anything else I can do while I'm working on it tonight to get the bugs out? I just got it back from my sister and I'm sure she was rough on it, It's got right at 300k miles on it. I was kind of thinking about changing the fuel filter and throwing some fuel injection cleaner in it too. Maybe clean out the MAF?

Any other ideas?

I was having problems with mine as well. I changed all the spark plugs and cleaned the MAF. Seems to have fixed my problem. When I was researching the issue I saw many people having to replace a coil which is a bit more expensive.

Well, I think it's been resolved. I am pretty sure what fixed it was the replacement coil pack. It's not sputtered at all since then. I'll know for sure tomorrow (40 mile drive to work).
