I know this isn't a 4runner but...
This LandCruiser looks awesome.
Toyota Land Cruiser VX | eBay
Will someone snatch this thing up who lives near me so I can take it for a drive? ;)

I hate shitheads that tag their ads with crap that hasn't got anything to do with what they're selling.
What's so nice about that one anyway? Fugly brush guard and a wimpy diesel do it for ya?

I thought the 80 series was 1991-1997. Only 24 years old so we can't register it here (yet).

80 Series did indeed start in 90. The Fj62 was only a 3 year production 87,88,89. However the FJ80 in 91,92,93 had the smaller engine. In 94 it became an FZJ80.
But as was stated by someone else, who cares, that thing isn't the least bit noteworthy. Now if it had the direct injected diesel I'd be impressed.

The tags work though, it gets you to look at something you wouldn't of clicked on, search overload! The best though is a good deal that's tagged wrong and no one snags i, like spelling 4runner 4runna or 4runnna. Some people's kids.

Nothing special. That diesel will be gutless. It doesn't even have front and rear lockers.

It gets worse though. The listing says it's still a Canadian truck living an hour over the border from Houlton. The salt, sand and brine up here is more damaging than the salt I know from Maine. I'm impressed by that undercarriage, given the circumstances.

Like so many things, there isn't actually a true answer to this. I have an 89 FJ62, have had it for 18 years. That doesn't make me the authority, but this is what I've seen. The FJ80 was introduced in late 89 in Japan and was sold as a 1990 model in the states. The 60 series was produced through 1990 in Japan, and through 92 in South America. I think you won't find many 1990 62's, although they do exist. You also won't find many 1990 80 series because they didn't ramp up production fast enough, and they really didn't become popular right away.
Wikipedia says the 60 series was 80-89 and the 80 was 90-97. Also Spectre Off Road who has a long standing relationship with Araco(Land Cruiser body builder) in Japan, shows the 60 series ending in 89 and the 80 series starting in 90.

I was just pointing out your dates were all jacked up. ;)
You said the 62 was 87-89. But the 62 was 88-90. Then you said the fj80 was 91 on. Which is correct for US. But then you went on how the 80 was made in 90 as well. Which is correct for overseas.
