Full length roof rack build

Hey all, new here. I posted my roof rack build on reddit and was told you all might like this.

So I purchased my 98 SR5 about 1.5 months ago and have started doing my mods to it so far only have a bit of audio and have plasti-dipped rims with a lot more to come. I knew that I wanted a full length roof rack but didn't want to spend $650-$1500 for one though being I have very shallow college kid pockets. Therefor I decided to build one and here is a bit of the build. I don't have too many pictures of it early on. Currently it is at powdercoating and should be done this week sometime.

Well thanks! Really all I got is just a computer to design on, one year of welding class from highschool and a family friend with an amazing shop to work in.

That looks awesome man, well done, i was thinking about fabbing up a rack like that then i got all poor and lazy and bought a rola rack for cheap.

Are you gonna put a wind fairing on there?

I just know mine was really loud without the fairing and i lost a little Gas mileage on it. I lost about 40 miles out of a full tank. Now i just need to throw a 42" lightbar up top so i can really get my gas mileage down lol.

Looks great. I'd love to have a shop like that to play in. Can't wait to see it mounted.

Thanks! It is amazing what having the right tools can do. I will update right away when I get it back from coating and mounted. I am so excited to get it back.

Very nice work. Do you have any more pictures on how it attached to the rack rails on the 4Runner? Are the front mounts just held on by pressure?
