Angry Transmission Problems

I have a 2000 T4R v6 automatic 4x4. When the weather got cold here, the transmission wouldn't change gears. I would have to manually shift from 1 to 2 to D. It got to the point over the weekend that the transmission fluid started overheating. So yesterday, I replaced the transmission filter and added a quart of Lucas transmission fix. Now my Yoder wont go unless the RPMs are 3500 or higher. Please help, I am a noob and just learning.

May I make a suggestion? Take it Toyota, and have them do a transmission flush. Ask them what color the offending fluid is when they swap it, because if it's the pink milkshake, then it's probably time to replace the radiator too.

When I replaced the filter, I put in approx. 4 quarts of new fluid including the lucas. Do I still need to flush the rest?

The trans system takes something like 10 quarts, I can't remember exactly, however, it's certainly more than 4. What is your fluid level at now? Does it show where it supposed to be?
