someone stole my led bar

I cannot believe this. How low life some people are in this world. That they have to steal other people property because they don't want to work and buy their own stuff. Its a 21.5" EXTREME LED SOLUTION light bar from miamioffroad, I only noticed today after work just when I got home, I go to turn the light on and nothing. Get out to look and it's gone. They cut the wire and took the light. I leave my car at park and ride on the nj parkway. And I didn't notice my light not being there , so I'm guessing someone stole it from there. Scumbags! I swear if I see this person with it on!!

I have a 41.5" front led bar above windshield !!!! Anyway to protect it ??

Did that have to unbolt it to get it off? You could try some Torx bolts; I feel like thieves would be less likely to have a Torx set sitting around.

Do you have a welder? Put a tack weld on the nuts.

electrify it, and you'll have a tasty bbq snack waiting for you when you get off the bus/train.

How about some tamper proof torx or hex bolts and red lock tite? If they are real buttheads though, the harder you make it not to be stolen the more damage they will make trying to take it. Not saying make it easy, just saying I've seen thieves saw a dash in half to get a $50 tape deck just because they are jerks.

Any security or surveillance cameras at the parking lot? Try talking to them or owners and file a police report. Sucks but having nice things dangling from a vehicle paints a bullseye on it for the undesirables.

Hopefully that person gets sliced by a box cutter from their sack to their throat and you have the opportunity to stand there and piss in the open wound while his family members are handcuffed on their knees crying for you to stop. Check Ebay and any Pawn shops in the area.

I just took my front 41.5" of my car .two bolts, pop the hood and disconnect it. Gonna have it off till I go offroading. It sucks because its nice to have it, because I drive to work at 4 am and sometimes through country roads. Used it plenty of times to spot deer or people jogging. Anyways, this thief cut the wire , which is very short now for him, and just unbolted it. And its not a eBay bar. Its a brand quality bar that has lazered company's logo.

Good tip about the pawn shops, I know one of top of my head. I'll try and see if I can get them to check cameras.

Will probably get security bolts and possibly tack weld it.

Sucks though, can't have nice things !! People are that low !!! If I don't find it, I hope their car catches on fire from it.

You could mushroom the bolt end with a big fin hammer if you don't have a welder.

That's the beauty of that. It won't be a big loss.

This is the one that got stollen.
Xtreme LED Solution Bar 21.5"

Is there a product that is a small camera that runs of a battery and records on a memory stick and let's say recycles every 8 hours or so after recording and once you get back in the car you can plug into the cigarette lighter to charge it up. ?

I'm sure you could find some way to video them stealing your stuff, but in all reality would it help? Beside make you even more enraged when you see they aren't some down and out person looking for an easy buck, but rather some ahole that has a gold watch and diamond earrings.

I feel for ya man! I hate that some people think it's okay to take from others.

Is the light something you use all the time? Maybe a quick connect for the wires and some wingnuts to hold the light to the mount and just install when you need them....

On second thought, I have a tendency to look at everyone as a suspect when things get stolen, so maybe the camera would help by giving me the evidence ID need not to maddog all that cross my path after a theft.
