PageRunner Build Thread Picture Heavy

:Welcome:
Story:
I was at work one day when my fiance called me to tell me that our family friend, Steph, was selling her 4Runner. 2000 SR5 4x4 5 speed manual transmission, stock e-locker, stock skids, running boards, and Mickey Thompson STZ tires. I had owned a 4Runner before (1992 SR5 4x4 in Red) and loved it but had to sell it when having financial troubles after it spun a rod bearing. So when I found out I could make payments on this 4Runner I jumped all over it. It was mine two days later. Got home and ever since then I haven't stopped looking at mods and upgrades.
Here she is when i got her

and after getting a little dirty

and here is the most recent pictures

List of mods that i will update as i go along

Engine:
- ISR mod
- 4"Deck plate mod

Interior:
- Led map, dome, and cargo lights

Exterior:
- removed running boards
- black painted rims
- Plasti dipped chrome on rear bumper

Maintenance:
- the usual
- Seafoam through vacuum line
- Seafoam in crankcase
- Seafoam in fuel
- cleaned mass air flow sensor
- cleaned throttle body

I have many plans for the PageRunner and have only had her for about a month. I don't have a lot of money so it will be a fairly slow build but this is also where i will be documenting my wheeling adventures and pictures. Now onto some pictures of the building process.

First i painted my rims. Two coats of automotive primer and two coats of high temp engine paint gloss black. I was limited on time so I did the front one day and then two days later I did the rear.

Next I installed my interior LED's

Sorry they are so grainy. Thats what I get for not using my DSLR.

These are what I put in there

you can find them nice and cheap here

Then I did the ISR mod and deck plate mod. I will upload pics with the story and review here soon.

I did the Seafoam treatment and cleaned the mass air flow sensor and throttle body the same day. I also reset my EFI.

Today, 3/21/15, I plasti dipped the chrome on the rear bumper. I will upload pictures of that soon as well. It turned out great

Thanks for stopping by!
:Thanks:

nice rig.

How did the sea foam treatment affect the preference?
I wanted to do that but decided to wait.

Looks like you are on a good start at freshening 'er up a little. I would also recommend replacing some exterior bulbs to LED's (corner markers, license plate, reverse, etc) because they are cheap and it makes a big difference. Keep on keeping on!
