Scientists at the UCLA did a 5 year study on this same issue, and their findings were recently published in their science journal. The main causes were:
- Horsepowers
- Street cred
- Looks cool
- This is 'Murica and I do what I want

did we learn nothing from fast and the furious. I took this picture a couple years back, the car has been around for awhile and exchanged owners a few time but it use to look just like paul walkers eclipse in the 1st fast and furious.
