Custom Mid Travel

I thought I would provide some input here. I have had these coilovers in forever and decided it was time to get every mm of travel possible. The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200517_211713-jpg

Since this is useless without documentation... here goes
The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200516_232616-jpg

Coil bucket cut and CO mounted back in
The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200517_211453-jpg The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200517_211508-jpg

Spindle gussets welded up... I'm finally getting to be pretty consistent
The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200517_180318-jpg

All done and welded up!
The Mid Travel Thread-img_20200517_175832-jpg

The foam board is dimensioned and cut based on the CAD file dimensions, the final product will have internal gusseting, distributing the load all throughout the top of the coil bucket. Two 1.5" DOM tubes will come up from the frame to brace the coil bucket laterally.

Last, but not least I'll finally be using the limit straps that I've had for a few years

Tabs and plates I will plasma cut out, and I am trying to find the best place to add tabs to the LCA for the straps. Time will tell!

Hi,
May I know who builds the 1.5" extended LCA? Do they also build the CVs and steering knuckles?
Thank you.

But a slight increase would be cool, would have the benefit of more travel, and would also provide more stability on road. Who wants to build a mid travel lower a arm kit??

I believe Solo Motorsports has what you're looking for. Unfortunately I don't have any of their stuff but it sounds and looks like it rocks.

Adding to this ancient thread in hopes to revive it. I think my current setup could be considered a "mild" mid travel setup, but I've been enjoying the heck out of it. 2.5 ADS coilovers up front with reservoirs, paired with SPC upper control arms and Durobump bumpstops. In the rear I have Land Cruiser 7.5 Wraps and Icon 2.5 shocks with remote reservoirs and clickers, also paired with Durobump bumpstops.
It rides incredibly well in all terrains I've given it. The rear sway bar is off (hoping to put it back on soon) but the front one is on, so I'm likely not utilizing all the travel I could. My 4Runner sees a lot of highway miles every year, so I value a comfortable ride more than optimizing flex. Anyway, I can't recommend ADS suspension enough!
