Leaks??? It rains in AZ??
I'd be more worried about the sun drying out the leather.

If the scanner is in good shape it should be better. My old scanner died but the bulb was going dim before it died. New scanner is much better & higher pixels.

The front seats are garbage at this point. I plan to reupholster them in the same color leather.
It rare rains here....but we're looking into buying property in Colorado too....possibly living there half the year (or more) and half in AZ.

I wanted that option bad and had trouble finding one in Northern CA - so I went down to SoCal to buy this one. I had the dealer add leather and over the years I've done a bunch of work to it. The Tundra Brakes have been one of the best adds.

Merry Christmas original 3rd gen owners.
Just under 200k miles on my one owner 3rd gen...seems like just yesterday it was December of 2001 and I was shopping 3 dealers against each other...I was pretty flexible on trims, options and colors so I got a pretty good deal.

Just bought this from my Pop today.. I've had use of it for several winters as folks go off on to warmer parts.
2002 Black Limited with just under 60,000 miles.
Body is in nice shape, considering it's never been waxed in 16 years.
A bunch of maint items need my attention, and some chassis rust scrubbing..
I'm super-thankful for this forum and all the amazing Vids and posts here..!
Thanks,
JD

That's awesome! Yes, practically a barn find with 60K Welcome to the Original Owners Club. Just do everything you can to keep the rust away from it.
EDIT: So you became a member this month and you have 14 posts and yet you still managed to find this thread. That's pretty impressive.

ah ha, I see, so your Dad is probably around my age. Ask him if he remembers the Jolly Joint. It was a chain of Head Shops.

Ill join in on the fun here. Originally purchased in December of 2001 as a replacement to my parents chevy blazer that died. Brand new off the lot with 10 miles, SR5 trimmed out almost to Limited (no heated seats or fog lights).
I cant find the window sticker but I do have a pic of my Dad when he bought it and all original owners manual and all factory documentation in a Toyota zip up case.
current mileage: 245,985 I'll roll 246,000 on my way home tonight.

Mike,
I've been wanting to do this for a while. This pic is of all my original keys & fobs. I've never lost one, only replaced the batteries. Did you get the Gold key ring from the dealer with the Gold Package like the one in my pic?
