Sandblasting wheels

I'm interested in sandblasting my wheels clean and repainting them. Now I'm not being lazy, just can't have my vehicle out of service for days, so is it at all possible to sandblast the wheels with the tires still mounted? Please don't flame me, I'm just asking if it's possible. I'm looking for something better than paint strippers and scraping.

Thanks,
Scott

It's not a good idea. If you don't unmount the tires so you can paint them all the way around you will have a failure point where the tire meets rim. You CAN do it. But paint takes 24 hours to cure Anyway. And if your painting them from blast you'd want atleast 2 coats. Prime and guide. And you should really do finish clear as well. Just my 2cents. I work at a blast and paint yard. I just painted my car rims. Gonna do my truck rims this week.

@BrianSD_42 painted his wheels without sandblasting and did a really good write-up on it(Found Here). I would suggest doing this instead of paying money for someone to sandblast them. You can also keep them on the tire this way and just tape off the tires.
