Armored/lifted 4Runners on 32's

Looking for some pictures...

I am very seriously considering dropping my 4Runner down an inch or so in the front, and about 2-3 in the rear then dropping back to a 265/70/17... I am just not sure how it will look...

Before all of the comments about regearing blah blah...

I have realized that 99.99% of my travel is on the road, or on very moderate terrain. I don't need to be sitting 3" up in the front and nearly 5" in the rear.

You know you can lower your ride height without changing tires right. I can lower my 4Runner down to stock height right now and it'll clear 35's because with my current suspension, I clear 35's at bumpstop. The only thing you're changing is ride height, or how far away the middle of your front CV is from the fender. The geometry itself doesn't change, you're basically just exchanging up travel for down travel.

The change in tires is not due to fitment, but rather to get back into a c rated tire that I can get decent fuel economy with and a bit better ride.

I like where your heads at. Can't wait to see what you end up with. So sick of my E's and their wooden rollercoaster ride.

@A.Wilson013 , here is mine. It has 275/70/17s (true 32") and a smaller lift than you described in your initial post. There is some armor but not near as much as you are rocking.

I just went the opposite direction - 32s (265/75s) to 33s (285/70s). Honestly there's not much of a difference mileage wise. Of course my 265s were "E" rated as well so if you go with a "C" or "D" rated tire then that could make a signifigant difference.

Here's a few pics of my fully armored rig on 32s with OME 2" lift. 880s up front with top plate spacer and 906s in the back with 3 trim packers on DS and 2 on the PS to compensate for lean and the heavy bumpers.

Lift installed by previous owner, told it has OME883 front and LC 8 wrap coils rear, I put on 255/75R17 BFG MT KM1 take offs from a jeep rubicon. Picture isn't the best. If you want better, let me know.

Both of your rigs looks great with the tire lift combo. What rear springs are you running?

@A.Wilson013 I feel semi responsible for planting this seed in your head. I PM'd you with my internal debate with this issue, and now I see you searching here and on a few other threads for info... sorry! haha

I had been considering it for awhile, but admittedly your thoughts helped me realize it may not be completely foolish.

I am working on scaling down the tires in Photoshop... Already "lowered" it a couple inches in the rear. Should have a concept this evening.
