Great thread!!! I wish you added LC coils as an option instead of the crappy low lift superflex that dont handle much weight and like to make noise when flexing. But its all in opinion I guess.

Interesting. My 9 wraps don't hold weight at all. My cooler might as well be an anvil. Springs are subjective though. He recommends TRD Tundra coils and when I ran them they rode like crap. Eventually switched to toytec eibachs and they rode 10x better. But I know others have had the opposite experience

Great Job & lets hope the noobs read this!
I know many of us will have different opinions of the items mentioned & a few people have already started.
The only thing I have trouble with is the LR UCA's. There have been many threads on this forum & other forums with them breaking out on the trail & for safety/reliability reasons I would not recommend them.

Spent all afternoon building a list of stuff when I get a truck. Looks like I wasted my time...

Why do you recommend no wheel spacers for 285/75/16 tires on the Budget Trail Crawler, but for all other builds using that tire you do recommend wheel spacers? Is it to keep costs below a certain level, or is it because those users are unlikely to have rubbing issues with their expected usage?
Thanks for putting this out there.

Where's the "Smoke everyone off the line build" with a supercharger & fuel mods? I'm disappointed... I'll just have to write that one myself

Would you add the trans cooler to any of the builds? You replaced the radiator, might as well do the cooler too.
Does the trucks millage really matter with these?

I know most of the people here know this, but some might not. The radiator doesn't need to be replaced if you have a 5-speed (also no trans cooler). ;)

Thanks so much for the feedback guys. I had an absolute blast creating these builds. This community has helped me a bunch so it feels really good to be able to give back. I welcome all suggestions. As some have mentioned, there's a million different ways to skin a cat, I just thought if I could provide a basis on which to begin a build, new members would be able to catch up easier.

nice thread. Thanks for compiling these.
I am finishing up installing an SS 1.2 on my 98. I saw this as valuable to get an idea of what other upgrades I can combine with it.

good info that you pit together here. one thing though ... you don't want to combine 285s, plus a 1.5" wheel spacer because it will hit on the wheel wells at full compression.
It happened to me in 2014 and Derpiful just being both fenders because he has 285s and 1.5" spacers. The wheel looks like it fits but at full compress it will cause body damage.

@ absalom
... Thank you .. I'm that noob with all the questions .. Although I have't started a thread for it, I have PM'd a couple guys who have been amazing in their help/guidance.
My one question is about the OEM Shock/Struts on your Trail Bias list. Would Bilstein 4600 or 5100 offer me more support? I carry a lot of gear and possibly will be towing as well. Also looking into adding a storage system/sleeping platform.
Thanks again to all on the site!
Adam

E rated are kinda known for their harsh ride because they are meant to handle a lot of weight and our 3rd gens don't weigh much. I'm really happy with my C rated BFG M/T's. I think they ride just perfect at 39 PSI.
