Panhard bar installation question

After much research I have yet to find a general consensus on the best way to go about aligning the rear axle and installing an adjustable panhard / trac bar after a lift has been installed.
A little background info.... I have just installed a lift on my third gen, OME 890 springs in the rear with bilsteins 5100 from Wheelers, matched with ome 881 and bilsteins in the front, and as the last step of the process I am installing a toytec adjustable panhard bar. From what I have read people either jack up the rear part of the frame until the wheels leave the ground, allowing the axle to center itself and then bolt the trac bar on at the correct length, or some people measure it out based on how much lift they gained. What is the best way to do this? Any insight is greatly appreciated as I am fairly new to this.

I got the drop bracket welded on so don't have any personal experience but I'd imagined it's

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

I used the measurement supplied by steve with the SS 1.2 lift and the alignment shop said it was spot on. to fit it in I used a bottle jack on the right wheel with a 2x4 to the left frame rail to move the axle, work great for me.

I was thinking and I think once you got it as much as you can, you can ask the alignment shop to dial in

thanks, that's actually exactly the route I decided to take, I've got it close with some rough measurements and I will have it dialed in when I take it to True Line tomorrow to get an alignment. I appreciate the help guys.

i think it's called the thrust angle. Tell them you can adjust the panhard bar or go to someone who's familiar w/ 4x4 trucks.

I did 890 rear springs and stock panhard bar with no issues. Drives as it did before the lift and nothing crazy out of spec with the rear when i did the alignment.

Got the track bar finalized today along with the alignment. If you are located in the San Diego area (specifically east county) I would highly reccomend
True Line Alignment and Brakes. They were able to get the truck back to near perfect alignment after the lift as well as getting the adjustable panhard bar set at the correct length. Great service and quality staff (and not too bad on the price). Anyways, I will have to get a build thread going soon, lots of mods and maintenance being done.
