What have you done to fix your "tired" seats
The front seats in my runner are looking tired. I dont really want to buy okoles because I want something more stock-looking.
I've considered replacing them with racing seats but I dont want to spend $200+ just on the mounting brackets alone, then another $300 on the seats.
Anyone know of some simple junkyard swaps that are compatible? I'm out of ideas.

One guy on here had mint leather seats and said he had them reconditioned for cheap at an auto upholstery shop. You could get a quote from a place just to see. I got to do the same thing too but my wheels just came and I need duratracs so funds are slowing down lol

Best bet is proabably finding a local reupholsterer.
I wish there were a certain vehicle that was 100% compatible where you could find seats for like 50-100$ and swap them out. Unless you're really lucky and find some low mileage, matching T4R seats at a JunkYard U-Pull day.

I was quoted near $2k to have my seats and carpet done. I think he wanted about $600 per front seats. I just got some $200 seat covers. One small tear in about 4 months. Still better than what it was.

Shop around, don't use the internet. Try the phone book and word of mouth. I've got a local guy the does great work for much cheaper than that.

I bought some Wet Okole front seat covers at $300 for the front. I've heard from multiple people on depending on how much you drive, you can get about 5 years out of them. I'm a taller guy so when getting in and out, I try and avoid sliding in and out as much as possible since that'll give them some premature wear. You can also buy a care-kit from Wet Okole to help take care of your seat covers but I am yet to do so. Another thing I do is put a sunshade up when my car is sitting out in the sun for an extended period of time just to keep them from getting sun-bleached or dried out.

These where local guys, it was for the high quality leather. After two high local quotes I gave up. I know there are guys on ebay that sell the replacement seats leather and they want like $600. This price also included the steering wheel, door leather, console leather, anything that need redone. Also would fix the bad foam padding.

As in Passenger to drivers side seat bottoms, yes. At least on a base with cloth seats. I have swapped mine. Give the passenger the more worn out one.

Uppers are not interchangeable
On 96-99 Limited's or other variants with power they have the lumbar switch on the bolster.
However, I have a 98 and replaced the lower seat trim (houses lumbar along with other seat controls) This will enable me to swap the passenger cover to the drivers side when it finally craps out.

Yeah I think you can swap bottoms but not top because lumbar support button and mounts is my guess but maybe that doesn't matter. There's a guy on eBay selling bottoms for t4r. The name is upholsteryguys. My cheap substitute until I can find a used bottom or reupholster.
