Yep, use his eBay and you can get 10% off (he did it to me) when I mentioned sicmods and my t4r username in the order notes.

Per Tim's video, you can also email him: Mention "sicmods" in an email to [email protected] for 10% off your repair cost.

Tim's Video has the eBay links, just look at the video description.

question about LED conversation in CCU??

hey guys i was wondering if the LED conversion in the CCU has any effect on the "dimmability" of the unit? From my understanding, incandescent lightbulbs have a better range when dimming and i was wondering if the LED replacements have any noticeable problems in this area? Like maybe when you get down below 40% they just shut down completely?

thanks for the responses!

There isn't one answer to that question. The ability of an LED to dim depends on the specifics of that LED, so manufacturer and type will play a large role in how well an LED dims. In my experience with LED bulbs, not specifically for the dash lights, typically they don't dim as well. Some of them have a threshold below which they will simply turn off, less frequently, they may be brighter than you want even at fully dim.

Yeah, that is my major concern about getting LED's. They just dont dim like halogen lights and it is annoying because I generally keep my lights low because of rural driving.

It isn't always the issue with who makes the LED either, it depends on how the dimming is controlled by the system.

I turned my dimmer all the way down and my dash lights are super dim since they're old and not LED but the CCU lights are a tad bit brighter as expected. It's not blinding to me and I have the white one

Climate Control Repair

Hello John, are you still doing the Climate Control repairs? I have one not working properly than I purchased another one off of Craigslist and had it sent to me and it doesn't function properly either. Frustrated I started a search of this issue on YouTube and found a site from SICMODS who recommended you, so here I am. Thank you

I have a climate control unit I would like to have fixed. How do you work the deal? Do you send me one, and then I send mine back?

You send yours to him, he repairs and sends back. Took ~5 days (including shipping) from Atlanta... I think he's in the DC area.

I suggest you direct message him to get the ball rolling.

I'm Still very happy to have spent the money, has worked flawlessly for a couple years now.
