Help on repairing 2000 4Runner.

Being stupid, I backed into a wooden pole getting out of a tight spot and now I dented the passenger side rear bumper. Have creosote residue among other parts on the bumper. is there any way I could (try) to remove the stains myself? Probably will have to replace the bumper.

Sorry if the photo is sideways I'm new to this.

Get a buffer for your power drill and varnish remover.

You can also replace the corner piece for like $60 bucks. Pull of and bolt the new one on.

Just about any type of petroleum based solvent will easily remove the creosote. Even car polish will work.

its a piece of cake, you can get the corner bumper aftermarket cheap or Junk yard.

If its an SR5 is different than limited. But its super easy

let me see:
1st Remove Plastic cover over bumper pops right off. Theres 12mm. Mounting the corner piece to main bumper assembly.
2nd Remove Mud splash guards 10MM Volt
3rd there's another under closer to tire well its also a 12MM need long extension an swivel.

I might be missing some things but its easy.

you might have to loosen main bumper to align it but that's about as technical as it gets.
