Only my thread will turn into a Metal chat thread! LOL I like the 4th album but it's not great like the 1st three. The recording isn't that good with Jason's bass turned all the way down. The $5.98EP kicks ass with Jason on the bass. Yea, the Black Album was a big let down & Load & Re-Load were even worse.

Post #2 has been updated with the story.
A seance! LMAO, it was a real sad day when Cliff died. I didn't think the band would carry on. Jason did a great job filling some big shoes.

I was always hoping to see some history on your truck, I had no idea it was that awesome though! What a trip.
Good read! And those wheels turned out really nice.

I actually learned to drive stick in Erin's 2nd Gen. She gave me a few lessons before I picked up my truck. I tried to slip her the tongue one night but got rejected. She just started seeing someone. How the hell could she turn down someone with a brand new 4Runner?!

Thanks man, I remember staying up all night reading your 1st build thread & getting to the end where you sold it. It made me very sad.
But I'm glad you're back & look forward to your new build.

This made me laugh! It reminds me of the morning after a house party, sitting on the couch with some buddies and talking about the night before over breakfast beers. I was going to post a comment about learning to "drive stick", but then you satisfied my curiosity about the Erin situation.
The rig is looking great. I really like the stance and the wheel/tire combo, and the backstory is awesome. I'm glad you kept the "Metallica Truck" all these years. I'm with you though, it would have been a little more awesome if the dash had some autographs.

I totally concur. Metallica was absolutely at their zenith all through the 80's. I saw the handwriting on the wall when they hit MTV.

Very cool story & impressive you hung on to the 4runner all these years with your cadillac background. With my bias towards 4runners, I don't know that i would be able to do the same if the tables were turned & I won a cadillac...I could see myself selling the cadillac to start a 3rd gen collection.

Cool story on how you got the 4Runner!
I'm another old(ish) guy on the forum. I am a 1980's metal head-banger also.

The bumper is done, I'll do the S/C in the end of Sept beginning of Oct. I have ton of concerts coming in the next few weeks & I need the rig for tailgating. It's no fun in my Accord. LOL
