Nice pics. I have a bunch of pics from the 90s and early 2000s of mine with me growing up over the years. Easily some of my favorites. It'll be 20 years of ownership within the family this November.

I can see now that she was too good for you. If you'd have gone with an 80 series you would have had a chance.

I have been reading the Scott Ian book, "I Am the Man". It covers that early time in the thrash music scene when Metallica had moved out to NY and lived in the same run down rehearsal space that Anthrax played at. It's not bad.

That is funny. "Some Kind of Monster" was painful to watch. I'm glad I caught it on cable instead of paying for it in the theater.
I'd like to read Scott's book. I grew up in Queens, NY & a few miles from the "Music Building". I hung out in there many times with friends & friends of friends bands but didn't know who Metallica or Anthrax were. They just put out "Kill 'em All". It would have been cool to have hung out with them before they became famous. It was an old factory or something & was set up like an apartment building. It had about 8 floors & 20 rooms on each floor. Every room had a band practicing (or living) in. You'd go there on a Sat night, drink, get high & just go from room to room & listen to bands play. Everybody was fu@ked up, lots of girls... Total debauchery! They fired Dave Mustaine in that building.
I read Dave's book, it was good but not amazing. If you could find the hardcover used on Amazon for $5 it's worth it. I got it as a gift.
My first job out of high school was as a stage hand working at L'amour. The most famous Rock/Metal club in NY. I set up set stage & partied with Metallica in Jan of 1985. They played 3 sold out nights with WASP & Armored Saint. They just started touring for "Ride the Lightning". I have my
RTL" LP autographed by James & Lars. Lars wrote "85 vodka attack!"

Thanks, I hope people enjoy them. I know people want to see the mods but I want the history to be in chronological order.
You should post those pics. Even if you don't have a build thread you could do your own truck history thread. I want to see them.

Sept of 2001, just got back from Labor Day weekend camping. Look at all that mud! Nothing different from the year before. Just waiting for those RT/S's to wear out so I can buy some larger AT's. Oh & I added an "Infectious Grooves" sticker on the front bumper for more HP. Great band, look 'em up.

That is f*ing awesome! I so wish I grew up then. My music is all from that era, my car is from that era, I would've fit right in! Very jealous of the record. I love RTL
I thought Dave got fired on the bus shortly after they arrived while he was sleeping?

The only legal place on Long Island, NY that I knew of to offroad. Smith Point Beach on the south shore of Suffolk County. They have trails back through the dunes too.

Did you hear that Dave Lombardo is playing drums for Suicidal Tendencies? They just went on Tour with Megadeth. I'm going to see them in NYC in March.

I heard that they woke him up in the rehearsal room all hung over & handed him a Greyhound bus ticket back to Cali. They flew Kirk in (from Exodus) from San Fran the next day.

Christmas 2001. I put a wreath on her for the first 5 years but haven't done it in about 10. Getting lazy in my old age. These pics are from my Sisters house in Northhampton, MA. I go up there a few times a year. If anyone here is local to that area I'd meet ya for some wheelin'.
