That hose goes to the driver's side head (no valve on that one). So, maybe a little more blowby than you want, or the stock PCV valve is blocked. That hose should be a two-way street, depending on engine operating mode (sometimes it is a fresh air inlet to clear the crankcase, sometimes it is a vent to let out extra blow-by, depending on throttle position, etc.). Make sure the hoses are in good shape, clean it up, replace the PCV valve and see where it goes from there.
