Keyless Entry question.

I have a 97 SR5. It came with a "keylessride.com" remote.
The FCC ID # is srw-krvar001 and I'm trying to find a replacement after an unfortunate incident involving the remote and my wife doing laundry.
I see two button replacements and I'm wondering if it will work with the system I have which operated perfectly before on a 1 button remote.
Bonus question: They have some remotes that appear to roll the rear window up and down.....will it work with that also?

Who knows man? If it's not an OEM system your best bet is to get in touch with the manufacture, or better yet the installer of the system. I've seen a good many Viper and other car alarm and keyless entry systems and no two were ever the same. The installs ran from interesting, to total hack job, but nothing is ever as simple or reliable as OEM.

I doubt anyone here has the same system, and if they do it wont be "the same."

Try our search for the system brand name and if you don't have any luck with that find our "how to use search" thread.

Best of luck man.

I have a 98 with the "dealer installed" RS3000 alarm and I can tell you it does not have the rear window roll down feature. My 2001 has a "factory installed" keyless entry which does have the rear window roll down. Unless your 97 has a custom alarm installed with a window roll down module, it wont do it. That window roll down module is key, without it no alarm has the roll down feature. Good luck.

Almost the same thing happened to me yesterday. I go to work, and out of nowhere this ridiculous wind/rain storm blows in. 30 minutes later I'm soaked, aftermarket keyless entry remote in my pocket. Now it won't work, I tried letting it dry last night.

I can't remember the manufacturer of the system, but its an alarm and remote start setup. I really wish it had been left factory... I don't know if I could even remove the crap and go back to factory at this point.
