Seriously? Dealer installed wrong end link

So I took my truck to the dealer in May for a routine oil change and they said the driver's side front sway bar end link was broken and they wanted to replace it. I asked if they were going to do both sides but they said they only do the broken one. I said go ahead and replace it then thinking I'd do the other side later. I dig out my repair receipt and go about finding a matching link for the passenger side and discover (via Part# and visual inspection) that this dealer has installed a REAR END LINK on the front. It's 1 full inch shorter than the correct part should be.

Obviously, they are going to give me my money back and install the correct part at no charge but my question is - could driving on one shorter end link cause any other damage that I should have checked out?

BTW - I ordered my own parts this time including 2 Moog replacement links, a set of Prothane bushings and new Toyota bushing brackets.

Shouldn't cause any damage in the short term. You may sit a little higher on the longer endlink side.

Zero damage! You'll lose some flex, and that's about it.

The sway bar is made to flex and move, so moving it up 1 inch won't hurt nothing. Maybe just check that the bushings in the center of the bar are in good shape, but that's all.
