Passenger floorboard wet

Hey guys, so I've been having a bad problem lately that I've noticed isn't new to anyone. After every rain storm I've been noticing the passenger floorboard and mat is soaked. Now, a few details that may help. I recently had the heater core replaced in it and also recently, and accidentally, broke the power antenna completely off so now there's a big hole in my passenger fender. I've been thinking that the missing antenna could be the culprit but there seems to be a pretty good seal between it and my carpet. What else could it be? I have my original windshield so maybe it could be that seal? I'm clueless.

Highly likely it is the power antenna. Water will flow down the cable and right to the grommet. If there is no drip loop in the cable (does not look to be) - the grommet is dried / old.. water could flow right into the cab.

Found this good photo from a taco whip mod.

Love that taco antenna. Anyone have a write up on how to do it or how to get one? I really don't wanna pay $150 + for a new power antenna that's probably gonna break again.

And also, would a 2002 taco antenna directly fit my 2002 4Runner? Thanks again guys.

If you have a sunroof it could be the drains. Mine was getting wet on the passenger floor when I bought it. Open up the sunroof and clear out the drain holes in the front corners. If you don't have have a sunroof check the heater core again and also check the rear heater under the passenger seat

Have you checked to make sure the A/C condensation drip tube didn't pop off under the dash?

I had a bad door seal that caused the same problem.

Yes it's not the tube nor do I have a sunroof. For instance my car sat yesterday all day without starting it. It rained all day yesterday and went to the today to find it soaked. So I know there's a leak and it couldn't be the ac tube because I watch it leak underneath the car when it's running and I highly doubt it's the heater core since a seasoned mechanic put it in that I know very well. But everyone makes mistakes. Once again, does anyone know about the taco antenna and if it'll fit my 4Runner?

if you did not drive it and it rained than it has to be a leak from outside. The tacoma antenna fits but I don't think that is where your leak is coming from. Check your windshield carefully, check your door seals although I don't think that is the problem. check the grommet in the passenger firewall, if it is ripped seal it with silicone.. Take a hose and run it over different parts of the front of the car and see if and where it is dripping inside

I remember running the truck through a car wash and it ripped the antenna to shreds, my negligence for not lowering it. So I just took it all apart, in the process I very easily could've torn or removed the grommet and not realized it. It's something to look into. Thanks again guys. I found a nice Tacoma antenna on eBay to replace my power antenna so I think I'll get it and instal it. Is it difficult?

Just walked outside after yet another rain storm, found this under the hood... Couldn't find any place really moist underneath the passenger side dash but when I looked under the hood I saw water dripping right on it. Not sure if this is the culprit still or could be a missing antenna.

The last repair done on the truck was the heater core. I would double check to make sure it is sealing up right. Is the bottom of the HVAC box on the inside of the passenger dashboard dry? If the seals are leaking you would see it there.

It's all dry man, that's what beats me. It's beating me, I drove it around in light rain and no moisture anywhere.

Even when you peeled back the carpet in that area to look at it?
You won't be able to see it just by looking it.

Yep. I pulled the carpet up and removed the kick board and it was dry
